Thanks for your comments. At first blush, my thoughts and advice is twofold. First, eventually you will need to work with a camera that has a certain amount of manual control. Knowledge about the physics and limitations of a camera is an important part of photography. The same goes with post-processing and what happens after you snap the shutter; it looks like you’re already working with photoshop or something like that, so you’re on your way.
Secondly, I suggest that you pick a particular subject for a photoshop, a building or a person, and write down a list of shots that you want to get before you start taking photos. Include both specific shots (closeups of hands, wide shot of wall, etc.) as well as expressive thoughts ( fleeting, anger, etc.). Then go out and shoot the list, plus anything else you come across while you’re at it.
